Simulation for Enterprise-Scale Systems Project, Simio
Built a simulation model to increase the profits for our local Café (Yali's Qualcomm café) in Berkeley. The goal was to improve their service system by improving customer satisfaction whilst decreasing wait times. We started by determining how profits are affected by impatient customers. To do so, we built a simulation model to represent their current service system and two other suggested system alternatives. We aimed to simulate these scenarios to create real-time replicas to show our clients which other alternatives they could follow to increase their customer satisfaction and thus increase their profits. The project started with an analysis of their current methodology and determining their needs to reach the desired outcome. Following this we proceeded through data modeling, design, and implementation of simulation algorithms.
Database Infrastructure Design, SQL:
SQL, Updated ATAK’s database infrastructure from Microsoft Excel files stored on a cloud data service to a MySQL database tracking the entire manufacturing process from ingredient inventory, assembly of the product, and quality assurance checks all the way to employee and financial records that exist within the factory.
ITERATIVE approach and Usability Evaluation, NIOSH/Kinovea:
Designed and prototyped an innovative solution for unloading and loading big packages onto and off a pallet in a warehouse setting using biomechanical assessment tools. The end goal was to reduce recurring movements and static motions that cause chronic pain or injury using adequate usability and evaluation methodologies.
Make Together Project:
Prepared active curricula & training programs for the Refugee children in Istanbul to cope with the daily problems; Help them access to proper education.
